A Look at Our Past
Before Stone Creek Lodge there was Mt. Rainier Country Cabins. It is believed that many of the cabins were built in the late fifties or early sixties. The majority of the structures are constructed of solid tongue and groove cedar exterior walls, which are approximately 4-inches thick. This not only makes for great sound proofing, but in the winter months it acts as much needed insulation. A great deal has changed since the 1960’s to improve your guest experience. Although the buildings of Stone Creek Lodge look nothing like the days of the past, our roots, history and story will always begin as the original Mt. Rainier Country Cabins.
