A well earned 4.9 stars (at the time of writing) on Google.
The owners are awesome and dedicated to making sure everyone's stay is outstanding. Luckily we just wanted to hike and chill in a hot tub for a weekend, but Joe made sure everything was pristine upon our check in and that we had everything we needed to be comfortable. We had a cozy little cabin with enough room to play card games by the fire, eat and drink at the table, and relax for the weekend.
We'd love to return. Bonus points as it's a rocks throw from the entrance to Rainier. Can't say enough nice things about the place so luckily their reputation speaks for itself!!

We had the best time this past weekend staying at Stone Creek Lodge. We booked a last minute stay for my husband’s weekend and it was much needed. The hosts were so nice and accommodating. The rooms and hot tub were great. They even gave us flowers in a few pots to take home. If you want a great place to stay so close to Rainier this is it!

A diamond in the rough.... Literally
If you're craving a peaceful escape into nature, these mountain cabins offer the perfect blend of seclusion and comfort. The private cabins come with their own hot tubs, perfect for stargazing after a day of hiking or simply soaking in the mountain air. For those seeking a more communal experience, the family-sized cabins offer cozy evening campfires, adding to the charm of the location. No matter which cabin you choose, the cabins are situated in a picturesque setting that truly makes you feel like you're "unplugged," with no TV to distract you—just the sounds of nature and the gentle crackle of a fire.
What really sets this place apart, though, is the hospitality. The owners, Bob and Joe, originally from the Pittsburgh area, bring a warmth and friendliness that makes you feel like you're visiting old friends. I just couldn’t leave out that East Coast vibe and lingo I could easily decipher. They’ve infused their passion for exceptional service into the Pacific Northwest, offering a personal touch that’s hard to find these days.
While food options in the area are limited, there are a few cool diners, bars, and local hangouts within a 5-ish mile radius where you can enjoy a bite or a drink, adding a little more variety to your stay.
With WiFi available but no internet distractions, you can still stay connected when needed but won’t feel the pull of modern-day life. It’s the perfect balance of convenience and tranquility, giving you the chance to truly unwind and reconnect with nature—and yourself.
We will be back again, and again and again..... But, with friends this time!

The experience is 10/10! Me and my fiancé decided to go there the week before our wedding just to take some time to ourselves and Bob and Joe did not disappoint! From the proximity to Paradise, to the cozy campfire and the amazing cabin! The cabin, scenery and all of the other amazing amenities give you no choice but to fall in love with the place and want to stay there forever. We definitely plan to be back in the future!

We will be back! I brought my husband for his birthday, despite the weather not working out well, we had a nice time unplugging and enjoying this lovely spot. They provide a personal touch while respecting your space.

I’ve lived in Washington my entire life, but this was my first time visiting Mount Rainier in the winter. We wanted to go snowshoeing in the park and decided this would be a good location because it’s close to the entrance and had great reviews—and it did not disappoint.
The location is excellent, and the property is very clean, quiet, and well maintained. We were welcomed right away and able to get into our room quickly. The room itself was spotless, and the hot tubs were a really nice touch—clean, functional, and relaxing. Tea and coffee were provided, which was a nice extra touch.
I made a mistake during my booking, but they were able to correct it the same night without any issues, which I really appreciated. There were also a couple of small hiccups with hot water and the toilet, but staff addressed those quickly and without any hassle as well.
Having air conditioning and a fireplace was a nice bonus, and the appliances were decent. There’s no TV, but it honestly didn’t matter—the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, and we streamed movies on a laptop with no issues.
Parking is very close to the cabin, and they even provided a cart to help with luggage. The bed was fairly comfortable, EV charging stations were right next to our cabin, and it was very quiet at night. You can clearly see the stars at night, and there’s a bonfire available, which made the evenings especially relaxing.
We had a great experience and will definitely be coming back with friends or family.

Bob and Joe were fantastic hosts. They have many games available to borrow from the lobby, the room and much else at the resort, was recently updated, the bed quite comfortable. We showed up on a Sunday for 1 night for our anniversary on Dec 21. It rained most of the evening and night but we were as cozy as could be. Highly recommended! Thanks, guys!

This was our third time at Stone Creek Lodge, always at the end of December. We really enjoy staying at these quiet cabins a step away from the entrance to Mount Rainier National Park. The cabins are basic but comfortable, charming and with everything we need. Very clean, with good heating, good hot water and good WiFi (plus sink, mini fridge and microwave oven). The hosts are very gracious and helpful.
As we have an electric vehicle and there aren't good charging options in the area, we were very happy to see they now have two Level 2 chargers for guests.
We'll definitely be back!

The cabins are very comfortable, clean and have a nice ambience. The owners are very attentive and eager to make your stay enjoyable. We love the immediate proximity of the lodge to Mt. Rainier and the owners are very knowledgeable of the area. We have stayed here 4 years in a row.
