From Seattle:
If you are traveling south on Interstate-5 from the Seattle area or
SeaTac International Airport, continue through Tacoma and exit onto
State Route 512 toward Puyallup. After 2 miles, exit onto
State Route 7 and continue south for 35 miles to Elbe. The road will be slow and crooked, but scenic.
From Portland:
If you are traveling north on Interstate-5 from the Portland area, exit
east onto U.S. Route 12 to Morton. After approximately 30 miles, at
Morton, exit north onto State Route 7 to Elbe. On U.S. Route 12 you
will pass by some of the colorful bulb farms of western Washington.
From eastern Washington:
If you are traveling west on U.S. Route 12 from eastern Washington,
(a) In summer, turn right onto Skate Creek Road (Hwy 52) at the eastern outskirts of Packwood,
and for approximately 25 miles, then turn right on State Route 706. Skate Creek Road
is closed in October until early to mid-May. You may want to check in Packwood if there is a question. Stone Creek Lodge,
on the right side of SR 706, is three miles east on State Route 706 and
200 yards outside of the entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park.
(b) In winter, pass through Packwood and continue on U.S. Route 12 to Morton, then north onto State Route 7 to Elbe.
From Elbe:
When you reach Elbe, drive east on State Route 706 for 14 miles, pass
through the small community of Ashford, and then drive 5.5 miles toward
Mt. Rainier National Park. Stone Creek Lodge is on the right side of State Route 706 and 200 yards outside of the entrance to the park.
